COMPATIBILITY / BASELINE

Verified means one exact environment was tested.

A green badge is evidence, not a promise about every Mac. Each theme records its tested date, operating system, Codex version, architecture, and upstream commit.

Launch baseline

macOS 26.3.2 · arm64 · Codex build 5307

All three launch themes share this initial verification baseline and upstream commit 181e2c4a6770dedecc65b2aff590ac5fbbe1ff85.

01

Support matrix

Treat anything beyond the verified row as a new test, not as an assumed success.

Apple Silicon / baseline build

VERIFIED

Verified on macOS 26.3.2 with Codex 26.707.72221, build 5307.

Apple Silicon / newer Codex

EXPERIMENTAL

Experimental until the exact build is retested. Codex updates can change renderer behavior.

Intel Mac

NOT TESTED

Not tested. Do not treat an arm64 verification badge as Intel compatibility.

Windows or Linux

NOT TESTED

Out of scope for this launch. DreamSkin Studio does not ship a Windows installer or Linux workflow.

02

Runtime requirements

The pinned upstream macOS workflow expects the official app, local configuration created by a prior launch, and a validated bundled Node runtime.

Official Codex Desktop

Expected bundle identifier: com.openai.codex.

Initialized local app

Launch Codex at least once so ~/.codex/config.toml exists.

Local loopback available

The injector needs a CDP port bound to 127.0.0.1 and validates that it belongs to Codex or a legitimate child process.

03

How to read status labels

Status belongs to a theme plus a test environment. It is not a universal certificate.

Verified

VERIFIED

The theme was applied and checked on the environment printed on its detail page.

Experimental

EXPERIMENTAL

The workflow may work, but the current environment has not completed the same evidence chain.

Not tested

NOT TESTED

No compatibility claim is made. Stop before installation unless you are intentionally performing a controlled test.

04

After Codex or macOS updates

Restore first, compare the new environment with the recorded baseline, review upstream changes, then re-verify before applying the skin to active work.
